3 years later...4th Birthday Party & Tissue Paper Flowers

Okay, so it's 3 years later and I've finally made it to my second post. At this rate, I'll have 10 whole posts in 30 years! So, life is busy and things happen, but here it is, my second post.
My precious sweet baby girl who is no longer a baby is turning 4 next Tuesday and we had her birthday party today. Old friends, new friends, and relatives came out to celebrate with us and we had a blast. I've learned that you can post a bouncy house in the middle of any room and kids will entertain themselves for hours, provided there are sources for hydration and potties readily available.
The Lord reminded me today once again how much we are loved, by Him, and by others. I realize more and more how not perfect I am and how much more learning I have to do. There is no way I could have pulled this event off today without the help my loving and very understanding husband, who watched me manipulate crepe paper until the wee hours of the night, and the grandparents. The grandparents came two hours early to help set up tables, pull apart giant tissue paper flowers, and make ladybugs from strawberries, grapes, and mini chocolate chips.
Most everything was homemade this year, trying to cut back and save some bucks. So, from the decorations to the cake, it was all made by me or someone helping me. I'd say the imperfections of the homemade things is what made the party special for me. I'm glad the kids had fun and that people enjoyed the cake and cupcakes, but it makes me smile to know I worked hard, saved a buck or two, and that Adeline's Birthday is worth making a fuss over crepe paper and homemade tissue paper flowers.
